Tulisa 'tattoo salute' probed by Ofcom - Daily TV round-up

'X Factor' judge Tulisa's 'tattoo salute' that she performs at the beginning of each show is to be probed by Ofcom.

The TV regulator will look into complaints that she is breaching broadcasting rules by promoting her perfume called 'Female Boss', the words she has tattooed on her forearm.

It's also thought they are to investigate a segment on the fragrance that appeared on the ITV2 show 'The Xtra Factor'.

Footage will reportedly be assessed by the watchdog to decide whether rules were broken over promoting products during the programme.

The show has already been found in breach of Ofcom rules over product placement, with mentions of singles being released by former contestant Diana Vickers and Michael Buble.

Earlier this series, judge Louis Walsh was also investigated over plugging Craig Colton's performance, suggesting viewers buy it on iTunes. [The Mirror]
