Vampire Slayer Star Accused Of Hotel Rampage

Buffy The Vampire Slayer star Nicholas Brendon has been detained after a disturbance at a Florida hotel, his third such arrest in recent months.

The 43-year-old was charged on Friday with damage to property and criminal mischief in his room at the Hotel Duval in Tallahassee, police said.

Brendon, who also stars in CBS series Criminal Minds, posted $1,000 bail on Saturday from the county jail.

He damaged furniture, smashed a porcelain figurine, flipped over the bed and pulled the phone out of the wall in the room, according to court records.

Brendon is also accused of clogging the toilet, causing it to overflow on to the suite's carpet.

The actor, who has battled depression, told the Tallahassee Democrat the incident occurred after he took nine sleeping pills.

"I stopped taking my meds a while ago, which was a mistake," Brendon told the newspaper.

"It culminated yesterday with my taking some sleeping pills and then going into a blackout."

He said he would seek medical attention before meeting fans at a convention on Sunday.

Brendon was accused last month of trashing his hotel room in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and refusing to pay the bill.

In October, he pledged to go into rehab after he was charged with malicious injury to property in a fracas at a hotel lobby in Boise, Idaho.

Last month he split from wife Moonda Tee, five months after they married in Las Vegas.
