The Voice UK presenters announced

Holly Willoughby and Reggie Yates have been announced as the presenters of BBC’s upcoming reality show ‘The Voice UK’.

They will join the first confirmed celebrity coach on the series, Jessie J.

Reggie Yates is an obvious choice and fit for the show but Holly Willoughby is something of a surprise having been a regular feature on ITV.

She currently hosts ‘This Morning’ with Phillip Schofield and previously hosted five series of ‘Dancing on Ice’ before making way for Christine Bleakley.

Speaking of her new job Holly said, “When it launched in America I watched one of the shows and thought it was just a fantastic format, and when I heard it was coming to the UK I thought to myself how incredible it would be to be a part of it.”

Reggie Yates has been presenting music-based programmes on the BBC for years with experience at festivals like Glastonbury, Reading and T in the Park as well as hosting the MOBO Awards.

He said, “I’m so delighted to get this job and be part of such a credible music show. The format of The Voice in America has worked brilliantly and I have no doubt it will be just as successful on British TV.”

BBC One Controller Danny Cohen spoke highly of the pair, saying, “'Holly and Reggie feel like a perfect partnership for The Voice. They are both big fans of the show and will bring a huge amount of passion and enthusiasm to the production.”

The Voice UK is slated for Spring 2012 on BBC One.
