Susan Boyle's neighbours submit noise complaint – Daily TV round-up

Susan Boyle's neighbours have submitted a complaint to the council over the noise coming from her house.

Teresa Miller and Paul Keaveney, who live next door to Susan Boyle in Blackburn, West Lothian, claim that the singing of the 'Britain's Got Talent' star has become 'unbearable' and that the noise stops them being able to watch television.

“We used to hear the odd bit of shouting and sometimes singing before she was famous but since she became successful she’s got worse,” said Ms Miller. “It is so loud you can’t hear the telly. It’s unbearable sometimes. Sometimes she’s a really nice neighbour, but sometimes she isn’t.

“She sings at the top of her voice. I have nothing against her personally but we’re thinking about moving, it’s that bad. I don’t know if she has a karaoke machine or what but it is loud. It goes on for hours. She’ll play one song on repeat and play it again and again. It gets monotonous.”

It's claimed that she persistently sings Rolling Stones song 'Wild Horses', 'Unchained Melody' and 'I Dreamed A Dream', the song that propelled her to stardom.

But a friend of Boyle's says that the claims are in revenge after Boyle complained about the noise coming her neighbours.

“It is nonsense. They are the ones causing all the trouble,” the friend told the Daily Mail. “Susan doesn’t even do her practice in that house. She has her piano in what she calls her 'posh house' on the other side of town and does all her practice there. So it is very unlikely she would disturb these neighbours with her singing.” [Daily Mail]
