Who is the daddy on ‘Coronation Street’? No, really – who is it? Woolpack hostage crisis on ‘Emmerdale’ and Jack hits the road on ‘Enders’.

Coronation Street
To borrow football parlance, the Platt family go into Lily’s christening in a state of disarray.  They’re a team in a state of crisis and there is serious infighting in the dressing room. If they’re going to get out of the church with the three points, they’re going to have to pull together and soon. Of course that’s not going to happen as Lily’s DNA test results arrive, David is an emotional wreck and turns to Tina for a supportive hug. This is witnessed by Kylie, who assumes it is rock solid proof of an affair.

David takes the DNA results to Nick in hospital and is treated to an angry rant – so furious in fact that after hissing insults back, he leaves the letter on Nick’s bedside where anyone (Leanne) could find it. The boy has not done well. In fact he’ll be sick as a parrot with that basic mistake.

Meanwhile, Kylie storms over to the Rovers to give Tina a piece of her mind – missing the bigger picture and risking getting a red card from the entire family.  The pair begin a cat fight and Tina is on the verge of revealing all. But then things calm down – until back home, she discovers the DNA test results which she assumes is Gail’s doing.

On the day of the christening however, she asks Tina what David’s secret is. Tina tells her to ask Nick – and suddenly Kylie twigs. She now knows that David knows. Will she go through with the ceremony? Who is the daddy? What will Leanne do to Nick? Will the Platt family qualify for Europe this year?

Also this week: If that wasn’t enough there’s the return of Liz McDonald to “help” Steve and Michelle run the Rovers ‘cause Steve couldn’t afford it without her. And Hayley and Roy have a lovely trip to Blackpool.

Emmerdale
Cameron’s back! He’s armed, dangerous and coming for Debbie.  He’s stolen Zak’s gun and plenty of ammo, put his hoodie up against a (very cinematic) storm and he’s lurking in the shadows.

His first act is to kidnap Sarah and take her to the barn – and when Debbie discovers her, her worst fears are confirmed – Cameron’s out for vengeance.

Terrified Debbie and Chas lock The Woolpack door and hole up – but they haven’t realised that they’ve locked the killer IN. He bumps into Marlon coming out of the kitchen and knocks him out with the gun.

He then enters the lounge and tells Debbie to come with him. But as she’s screaming about how much she hates him, PC Barnes bangs on the door and Cameron pushes everyone (Alicia, Bernice, Chas, Dan, David, Debbie, Diane, Jack, Nicola, Priya, Ruby and Zak) into a corner, levelling his gun at them.

The police move in quickly and before you know it there’s a siege situation. As Zak and Chas move to challenge him – a shot rings out and someone lies bleeding. Oh, the drama.

Also this week: Ruby attempts to come out to her mother Lindy.

EastEnders
Ronnie’s moping around the Square without her sister – and so Jack takes it upon himself to cheer her up with a housewarming party, bless his little Branning heart. But without her sister, Ronnie still can’t throw herself into having a good time even if she does cheer up just a little bit.

If ever there was a party pooper though, it’s Phil Mitchell. He arrives  - and he’s not carrying a bottle of Blue Nun and good wishes – he’s there to tell Ronnie how wrong her relationship with Jack is. (Seriously, has no one in Walford any sympathy for the acts of a grieving mum?).  Forced to choose between her relative and her man, Ronnie goes for Jack. He rewards her by showing her an engagement ring.

However later, as they babysit Lexi, Ronnie has a glimpse of the family they could have been and it breaks her heart. They have a long tearjerking chat and realise they can’t get back what they lost. It will never work.

Jack kisses her goodbye and leaves the Square for somewhere, anywhere happier.  Good luck Jack.

Also this week: After another night of passion with Michael, Alice is completely sucked into his scheme to get Scarlett back. Let’s hope it’s up to his usual standard.
