Steve makes an investment on 'Corrie', another old face returns to 'Walford' and Pollard messes everything up for Amy on 'Emmerdale'.

Coronation Street
Following all those Karl shenanigans, the last thing that Stella needed was to walk in on her daughter involved in a passionate clinch with her ex. Still, this being Soap Land that’s exactly what is around the corner. Obviously Eva had tried to end it with Jason, ‘cause of his history with her mum etc, etc. But their (previously unseen) magnetic attraction kicks in again and just as they’re getting down to it, Stella arrives.

They apologise profusely and she puts a brave face on it – but it’s clear she’s upset. When Gloria challenges her about it, she claims that it’s not her daughter and her ex getting it on, it's the pub bringing her down. She can’t move on with her life while living there. So she calls a family meeting and drops the bombshell – it’s time to sell the Rovers.

[Coulson: I like kissing two men!]

Meanwhile, Michelle has had a huge bust up with Carla at the factory because she puts Peter in charge while she’s away. She feels undermined and eventually walks out in a furious rage after a client meeting that goes so badly, it’ll remind retro soap fans of the Udogowa deal on ‘Neighbours’. Peter is convinced she’ll come back – but then Stella offers her some shifts at the pub and she accepts.

Seeing Michelle fed up – she’s also having rows with Ryan about his attitude to life – Steve suddenly hits on an idea to cheer her up. With Michelle pulling pints he nips into the back room to have a word with Stella. Surely he can’t be thinking… surely not? Steve and Michelle as landlords of The Rovers? That’s crazy talk. Or is it?

Also this week: News arrives from the hospital that Nick is starting to stir from his coma. David is straight round there to try and plant false memories in his brother’s ear – as you do. But while he’s doing so, Leanne creeps up behind him…

EastEnders
It’s a real shame that Ross Kemp has his heart set on bothering dangerous people around the world for documentaries because you know if he took a few days off from whichever Peruvian prison he’s at this week, there’d be a spot for him on Enders.  As, following Peggy’s slight return last week, now David Wicks shows up back in his old haunts.

Just as Masood and Carol are getting ready for what Chris De Burgh might call “a little romarnce” who should appear than Carol’s ex David. The last person Masood wants to see, even if he doesn’t know it yet. At first it doesn’t appear to be that much of a crisis for Masood as David’s also got a blonde in tow.

[D-Day for Dales killer Cameron]

The mysterious Naomi (played by that loosest of women Lisa Maxwell) is clearly in cahoots with him on some kind of scheme as they’re carrying a case of her husband - and his business partner - Don’s cash  and £20,000 that David wants to give to Bianca before they head off to Spain.
As ever with David though, things don’t go to plan. Before they can scarper, he manages to fall out with Naomi – telling her that he was only using her. And then Don turns up and takes his suitcase of cash back by force-  before setting his men on David to give him a good kicking.
As he lies there battered, who can he rely on to cuddle him back to health? Why it’s only his ex Carol. But what will Masood think? And can she ever trust him again anyhow?

Also this week: Despite Michael messing in Alice’s romance with Tamwar (deleting texts, the dirty dog) she sees what he’s up to and decides to pursue Tamwar properly. She snogs him and invites him back to her flat. At first he’s too scared to say “yes”, bless him. But she’s sure to put some hairs on his chest.

Emmerdale
After all she’s been through, it’s nice to see Amy playing nicely with Kyle, isn’t it? But obviously we all know she can’t just have him back as her son again, don’t we? Pollard certainly does. He’s very concerned when he hears that Amy has lied to Joanie, saying she’s a project to do and wants to base it around Kyle so has borrowed him for the day to bring back to the village.

He promises Val he’ll stop bothering Amy over Kyle but it’s clear he’s secretly taking action. He finds Amy’s phone and heads to visit Joanie. Joanie tells him she checked Amy’s background and is reassured she has come from a good home. During the discussion Pollard mentions that Amy is Kyle’s real mum – and is then aghast to realise Joanie didn’t know. Pollard tries to reason with her but she is adamant Amy won’t go anywhere near Kyle again.

Joanie cuts off all contact with Amy, which unsurprisingly sends her into a tailspin of depression and worry. She tries desperately to plead her case with Joanie – but she won’t hear anything about it and it looks like Pollard has ruined Amy’s chance of ever being a mum.

Also this week: After a row with Nicola, Jimmy drives off in his van, falls asleep at the wheel and ploughs off the road.
