Simpsons Super-Fan Breaks World Record With 41 Homer Tattoos

Lee Weir spent 25 hours being inked.

A Simpsons fan has smashed the world record for having the most tattoos of the same cartoon character inked on his body – thanks to his love for Homer Simpson.

27-year-old Lee Weir, from Auckland in New Zealand, has the Simpsons family patriarch inked on his arm a record-breaking 41 times.

“He wouldn't let me watch as it depicted the father and the head of the household to be a buffoon,” he said.

“But I've always enjoyed watching the show in later life and it feels incredible to be a record breaker.”

Weir, a student, spent 25 hours in the tattooist's chair having the work done, providing proof from a dermatologist to scoop the record.

“My two-year-old daughter Lucy can point out different Homer tattoos on my arm - her favourite is baby Homer,” he added.

“To have a record for something that is not only cool but also very close to me is just brilliant.

“It hasn't made me a better person but I definitely think it has made me a slightly cooler one.”
