Simon Cowell 'to return to Britain's Got Talent'

Simon Cowell is reportedly planning his return as a judge on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ in a bid to combat falling ratings of his shows.

It’s also rumoured that he’s planning to bring former ‘EastEnders’ star Barbara Windsor onto the new-look panel.

A source at ITV told the Mirror that ‘Simon wants to make it the biggest, most successful series yet. His presence will be a guaranteed ratings winner as he is so popular with viewers’.

“Simon’s been focusing on US 'X Factor' and viewing figures for his British shows have fallen. He won’t take chances with BGT,” the source added.

Simon Cowell's return to 'Britain's Got Talent' would come after falling ratings for ‘The X Factor’ and the flop of Cowell’s game show debut ‘Red or Black’.

The 'Britain's Got Talent' panel is currently up in the air, following the departure of both David Hasselhoff and Michael McIntyre.

It’s thought Amanda Holden will return, but there are also rumours of Samantha Womack and Dannii Minogue joining the line-up, along with David Walliams. [Daily Mirror]
