Sian Williams signs up for Strictly Come Dancing – Daily TV round-up

Former BBC newsreader Sian Williams is the latest celeb to sign up for the next series of 'Strictly Come Dancing'.

The ex- 'BBC Breakfast' presenter was reportedly approached after she quit the morning news show in March.

She had already impressed show bosses with her guest appearance on the 'Strictly Come Dancing' Children In Need special last November, when she danced with pro dancer Victor Simone.

A source told The Sun that 'she is hugely popular with BBC viewers and is fit as a fiddle so we want her on the dance floor'.

Also set for a place on the show is gold medal-winning winter Olympian Amy Williams.

She signed up for the show following her retirement from her sport, the skeleton, which is a form of sledging.

Sian Williams and Amy Williams will join former England cricket star Michael Vaughan and Fern Britton on the new series of 'Strictly Come Dancing', while ballet star Darcey Bussell is confirmed to replace Alesha Dixon on the judging panel. [The Sun]

Cheryl Cole has denied claims that she walked out of a spoof interview. The singer was collared by the crew of new BBC prank series 'The Revolution Will Be Televised'and was said to have quit the interview after being repeatedly asked the question 'why are we here?'.
