Russell Kane's Fringe In Five highlights

Russell Kane shares his Fringe In Five highlights

As our Fringe In Five series from the Edinburgh Festival draws to a close, we asked presenter Russell Kane to pick his five highlights from the series...

Kate Copstick
"For all the wrong reasons Kate Copstick. What she said [about Sarah Millican] was abhorrent. Sarah's a friend of mine and I think there's some pretty dark things in [her comments] about women's body shapes that people reacted to quite negatively. But it got people talking about the art of criticism, female comedians, body shape and body dysmorphia. So although it was a very weird experience to hear someone spout that stuff about someone people love, it was a highlight to do something that got people talking."

The Horne Section
"Dancing around with the Horne Section to live music was definitely a highlight. That was pretty full-on. I liked it."

Marcel Lucont
"He's just brilliant. I'm genuinely scared of him. Alexis [who performs as Marcel] is my mate but when he comes on as Marcel I'm terrified of him."

And the most awkward... Piff the Magic Dragon
"The only one I suppose [who was awkward] was Piff the Magic Dragon because he was in character. He's a grumpy dragon and he's monosyllabic. It makes great viewing but obviously when you're doing the interview [and he's acting in that way] it's hard to come back from that."
