Rugby star Ben Cohen is set to tackle the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ dance floor later this year.

The Daily Mirror reports that BBC bosses want the 2003 World Cup winner to be the show’s heartthrob as it heads into its eleventh series.

An insider said: “Ben is gorgeous and we have high hopes he will be the latest ‘Strictly’ pin-up. We can’t wait to see him on the dance floor.”

Other names being linked to the show, which returns next month, include singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor, model Abbey Clancy and Vanessa Feltz.

Fellow rugby stars Gavin Henson, Matt Dawson , Austin Healey and Kenny Logan have all taken part in past series, and they all did pretty well to boot. [Daily Mirror]

ITV have announced that the fourth series of ‘Downton Abbey’ will be sponsored by Tesco Finest.
