The Strictly Come Dancing (Christmas Day, 6.15pm, BBC1) special features the likes of Katy Brand, Chelsee Healey, Bobby Ball and Fabrice Muamba. The Girl (Boxing Day, 9pm, BBC2) stars Sienna Miller as Hitchcock’s muse. The Choir: A Year With The Military Wives (Christmas Day, 8.45pm, BBC2) catches up with the singers. Doors Open (Boxing Day, 9pm, ITV1) sees Stephen Fry and Douglas Henshall star in an art heist drama. Charlotte Rampling, no less, plays a woman trying to leave her past as a World War II spy behind in Restless (Thu 27nd, 9pm, and Fri 28th, 9pm, BBC1). The Corrie Years (Fri 28th, 8.30pm, ITV1) looks at some of the soap’s most memorable Christmas moments. There’s any number of year-in-recap shows, but we suggest The 50 Funniest Moments Of 2012 (Fri 28th, 9pm, C4) featuring Stacey Solomon and Boris Johnson on a wire. Superstars (Sat 29th, 6.45pm, BBC1) is a one-off game show special with our Olympic heroes. Ripper Street (Sun 30th, 9pm, BBC1) stars Matthew Mcfayden as a Victorian detective. Perhaps the pick of the NYE stuff might be a star-studded Graham Norton Show (New Year’s Eve, 10.35pm, BBC1) with Tom Cruise and Billy Crystal. Jools will be Hootenannying (NYE, 11.10pm, BBC2), and, as we look forward to 2013 and a royal baby, how about Queen Victoria’s Children (New Year’s Day, 9pm, BBC2)?
