Michelle Collins set to leave Coronation Street - Daily TV Round-Up

Michelle Collins has announced she is leaving ITV’s ‘Coronation Street’.

The actress, 51, who plays landlady Stella Price confirmed that she would not be renewing her contract after her current deal expires next April.

Corrie producer Stuart Blackburn told Mirror.co.uk: “We wish Michelle every happiness as she moves on to pastures new.”

Collins’ decision comes as a shock but has left the show’s makers with plenty of time to write her out of the show come next Spring.
