Louis Walsh has said that he's set to appear on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.

The 'X Factor' judge, who has revealed that he's leaving after the next series of the show, made the remark during the show's bootcamp stage, which is currently being filmed.

Asked what he is planning once he's left the show, he reportedly replied: “I am going to be a contestant on 'Strictly Come Dancing'. But I am saying no more than that.”

He then added that he knew Sharon Osbourne would support his move to the BBC dancing show.

In the event that Walsh were to appear on the show, he'd have to make up with 'Strictly' host Bruce Forsyth first.

The pair memorably exchanged barbs in 2010, after Walsh took 85-year-old Forsyth to task over his age.

“You shouldn’t even be alive at your age,” he reportedly said.

“Brucie is too old. He’s from a different era. He doesn’t know anything about young people or modern entertainment. His time is finished.”

Forsyth parried the remarks by calling Walsh 'a jumped-up karaoke judge'.

Walsh revealed that he was quitting as a judge on 'The X Factor' after his tenth appearance on the show's panel earlier this month.

He told the TV Times: “I'm happy this is going to be my last year. I've been judging X Factor for 10 years so I've done it all.

Jeremy Paxman has defended his beard, following its widespread media coverage. “I have grown a beard for the last few summers, and suddenly wondered whether I really needed to shave it off to present Newsnight,” he said. “Unless you’re lucky enough to be Uncle Albert on 'Only Fools and Horses', Demis Roussos or Abu Hamza, the BBC is generally as pognophobic as the late-lamented Albanian dictator, Enver Hoxha. I may keep it or shave it off, but I think I’ll make my own decision.” [Metro]
