Last-ever 'Harry Hill’s TV Burp' to air this weekend? – Daily TV round-up

The last-ever episode of ‘Harry Hill's TV Burp' is to air this Saturday, according to reports.

It had been suggested that Hill had signed on for another series after being persuaded to do so by Simon Cowell, but fans in the audience watching the filming of the topical show this week said that the big-collared comedian told them to take no notice of the tabloid rumours.

“Definitely the last ever one. Just been in the audience,” said one audience member.

“Without giving too much away, the final scene is epic for TV Burp diehards and is definite closure for the show. Also, probably the best episode of TV Burp in years. Harry's really put effort into the final one.”

A picture from the set showed the whole cast, crew and guests of the show posing for a final snap, including the often-lampooned Cheryl Fergison from 'EastEnders', 'Big Brother' star and Burp regular Brian Belo and other popular characters including the Lord Sugar puppet and Wagbo.

Hill reportedly turned down a further £1 million on his contract last year to quit the show, which he admitted leaves him feeling 'completely mental' due to the stresses of watching so much television every week.

He's said to be currently working on a new sports panel show with Alistair McGowan, while Channel 4 has lined him up for a sketch show and a film. [Digital Spy]
