Jenna-Louise Coleman first official Doctor Who picture

New ‘Doctor Who’ companion Jenna-Louise Coleman’s first official picture with co-star Matt Smith has been released.

Rumoured to be called Clara, Coleman’s character will be introduced in this year’s Christmas special, which marks the half-way point of the show’s seventh series.

Presumably taken from the shoot of their first episode together, it also shows off a new look for the eleventh Doctor.

Introducing a waistcoat to his wardrobe, it’s a dark look, possibly reflective of the character following the departure of Amy Pond (Karen Gillan) and Rory (Arthur Darvill) who will exit the show sometime in the opening half of the new series.

The seventh series of ‘Doctor Who’ comes to BBC One later this year.
