Coronation Street stars ‘banned from Strictly Come Dancing' – Daily TV round-up

The stars of 'Coronation Street' have been banned from appearing on 'Strictly Come Dancing', according to reports.

It's thought that the show's Michelle Keegan was being eyed as a contestant, but now ITV bosses have dashed any chance of her appearing on the BBC dancing show.

A ‘Corrie’ insider told The Sun that 'the BBC’s offer never got off the ground - we wouldn’t release her from her contract'.

“It’s a no-brainer for us,” the source added. “Why would we allow cast members time off to go to film a show for a rival channel?

“That goes for everyone else in the cast but we are more open when it comes to ITV shows.”
