Simon Pegg has never been ashamed of the fact that he's a massive geek and now his career has reached a new high - he's officially part of the 'Star Wars' universe.

Pegg lends his voice to the latest episode of animated series 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars', which airs on the Cartoon Network at 6:30pm on Saturday 26th May.

In it he plays bounty hunter Dengar, who first appeared in 'The Empire Strikes Back' in 1980 as part of the line-up that also saw the debut of fan-favourite Boba Fett.

Speaking of his role, Pegg said, "Dengar is one of the elite. If you're on Darth Vader's bounty hunter speed dial you are the best in the galaxy and it was a total honour to play this mysterious hard man from my favourite 'Star Wars' movie, 'The Empire Strikes Back'."

In the episode, Dengar, Fett and other bounty hunters Bossk and Asajj Ventress fight to protect a valuable shipment under attack from conspiring forces.

Pegg recently finished filming on the new 'Star Trek' film and will next be seen in cinemas in 'A Fantastic Fear of Everything'.
