History: Emily was the first ever 14-year-old to audition in front of the judges, and performed Randy Crawford's Almaz. The judges loved her rendition and Simon declared that she is the reason why the age range was lowered.

Last year Emily was seriously ill with peritonitis so her family feels "very blessed to have her with us".

She has sung in school and church choirs and loves all musical genres.

HMV's Gennaro Castaldo says: "Emily has an amazing voice and has, clearly, already captured the imagination of the judges. She certainly has the potential to do well and could be the youngest ever winner..."
