Violence breaks out after Willenhall crash as man 'pushed and threatened with gun'

A man was pushed and threatened with a gun following a crash in the Black Country. The altercation took place on Coronation Avenue in Willenhall on Saturday afternoon, April 27, following a road traffic collision.

West Midlands Police say a man then pushed another man before threatening him with a gun. A 55-year-old suspect was arrested on suspicion of possessing an air rifle with intent to cause fear of violence.

He was also detained on suspicion of common assault, criminal damage and driving with excess alcohol. West Midlands Police has appealed for information into the incident.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "We arrested a man on suspicion of possessing an air rifle with intent to cause fear of violence following a road traffic collision in Willenhall. Officers were called to Coronation Avenue shortly before 1pm yesterday (27 April) following reports a man had pushed another man and then threatened him with a gun.

"A 55-year-old man was taken into custody on suspicion of possessing an air rifle with intent to cause fear of violence, common assault, criminal damage and driving with excess alcohol.
