It’s hard to say too much about this five-parter without giving away too much of the plot twists and reveals that are crucial to a haunted house mystery, but what we can reveal is that there are three separate strands, interwoven in creepy and tragic ways at a remote Suffolk guesthouse. In 1944, young evacuee Eve (Dakota Blue Richards) comes to live with Martha (Jill Halfpenny) and her family, setting in motion a series of events that lead to horror. In the 1970s, emotionally damaged writer Lucy Cohu arrives with her teenage daughter, fleeing an unhappy marriage and unable to explain the lure the house holds for. And in the present day, Paul (Kris Marshall) turns up at the house demanding custody of his son. You’ll have fun piecing it all together, with some scares along the way.
