It’s 20 years now since Eddy and Patsy first staggered onto our screens and they are certainly not growing old gracefully. In this special, the whole original cast are reunited in an Olympic-themed episode that sees Eddy attempting to rent her house out to a Hollywood A-Lister (we won’t spoil the joke by telling you who), but continuing to live in it. As is traditional, a variety of stars turn up for good-natured cameos – Patsy and Eddy with Stella McCartney in a “she knew your father, sweetie” bit is especially good – and this time the mixture is riddled with sporting legends including Dame Kelly Holmes for an Olympic-themed caper. Joanna Lumley, Jennifer Saunders, Julia Sawalha, June Whitfield and Jane Horrocks are all brilliant, and this renewal is an absolute hoot.
