When’s she off? Next year.
Why’s she leaving? To write jokes, apparently. A statement reads “I have loved playing Sunita but, having played the role originally from 2001 to 2005 and then returning to ‘Corrie’ four years ago, I really feel the time has come for me to focus on other aspects of my career.” And those other aspects include comedy writing.
How’s she leaving? We’re promised an “explosive” ... more

How’s she leaving? We’re promised an “explosive” exit. Mind you, we thought she was leaving for good in 2006 and she came back then. So will they close the door for good?
Should we be disappointed? Of course. Shobna is brilliant at mixing lighter storylines with a darker edge. Her affair story with Karl was one of the recent highlights of the show. We will miss you Sunita. Like a shop misses a manager. less
