Arrival - Jesse Birdsall – EastEnders

Who's he playing? Sharon's fiance, John.

Should we be excited? Yes, yes and yes again. Not only is Jesse married to Gwyneth Strong (Cassandra out of 'Only Fools and Horses'), not only does he have a police record for brawling, not only that – he was of course Marcus Tandy - the greatest thing in the BBC's great lost soap 'Eldorado'. Marcus Tandy is joining 'EastEnders'. Hurrah!
