It was a truly British blend of invention, pride, hard-work, great music and eccentricity. But the crowning glory was the skit filmed between James Bond and Her Majesty (seen here on the big screen at the Olympic Stadium), with a brilliant reveal that it was actually the real Elizabeth II in the Buckingham Palace sketch. It then culminated in 007 and ‘HRH’ bailing out of a helicopter and parachuting into the Olympic Stadium for the grandest entrance of all time. less
