Michael McIntrye has been named the top-selling live comic in the world, after making £21 million on his last tour.
The stand-up and former 'Britain's Got Talent' judge made just £1 million less than the Rolling Stones did from their shows last year over the duration of his 'Showtime' tour.
He's now topped previous number one Peter Kay, who earned £20.34 million in 2011 and well beyond third place Lee Evans, who earned £12.9 million the same year.
The stats, which were compiled by sales tracker Pollstar, listed McIntyre as the only comic in the top 50 most successful worldwide tours of 2012.
Topping the list was Madonna, who made £184 million on her last tour, followed by Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, who made £131 million.
The DVD of McIntyre's show is also thought to have scooped the top-selling comedy DVD of the year, having spent weeks at number one.
McIntyre made his breakthrough at the 2006 Royal Variety Performance, and has since shot to fame as the country's most successful stand-up. [Daily Mail/The Sun]
