Hollyoaks favourite Jorgie Porter has said her final scenes in the soap were an emotional time, but that she felt she had to leave to allow her to do Dancing On Ice.
Jorgie's character Theresa McQueen has got away with having murdered Calvin Valentine (Ricky Whittle) for the last three years but is exposed as the killer when Sonny Valentine (Aaron Fontaine) returns to the village.
She told Digital Spy of Sonny coming back: "As soon as I heard about it I thought, 'Uh-oh, that's my exit!'
"Aaron Fontaine who's playing Sonny now is lovely. He's obviously a bit of a handsome chap and he's going to be working a lot with Gemma as well. He told me he was a bit gutted because he felt like he was taking my place - I was leaving just as he arrived."
On her reasons for quitting the Channel 4 soap, Jorgie said: "When I was on Dancing on Ice the first time round I was doing it alongside Hollyoaks in the daytime and I also did the tour, so it absolutely killed me.
"This time I thought, 'I don't think I'll be able to do both this time without dying at the end!' That did help to make the decision a little bit."
Jorgie explained she would be getting a dramatic exit: "Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe) advises her to go to the airport and leave the country.
"They do arrive at the airport but you'll have to tune in to find out whether she does manage to get away. It's really exciting - I spent a lot of time in that airport running around in heels!"
She added of leaving: "Every single day I was there, I laughed. I don't think I ever had a bad day there, and I think that's because the people make it what it is."
