HMV announce X Factor winner early

Amelia Lily is set to win this year’s ‘The X Factor’… according to entertainment retailer HMV anyway, who have prematurely begun selling the winner’s single.

The store posted Amelia Lily’s winning ‘X Factor’ song on their online store today, a full five days before the results show airs on ITV this Sunday.

Similar Winners Singles by finalists Marcus Collins and Little Mix were nowhere to be seen - when searching the site for their names, nothing was available.

The official 'X Factor' Twitter account forwarded an official statement from HMV explaining:

"We have just received this from HMV: "It's just come to light that there was a technical issue uploading details of two of the artists to our site, which meant that only Amelia Lily's details appeared. However, these have been temporarily removed so that all three finalists details will go up simultaneously tomorrow morning. Once up, fans will be able to pre-order the single by their preferred finalist but only orders for the eventual winner's single will be processed and charged for. This was due to an unforeseen technical issue, and nothing further should be construed from it."

It seems this is more than a Little Mix-up as claims that the ‘X Factor’ is a fix have exploded on the social networking site with #fixfactor, #Amelia Lily's and #HMV all instantly becoming trending topics.

Katerina Petrova (@TeenageSelena) tweeted her anger at the apparent foregone conclusion saying "Amelia Lily's winners single is on sale at HMV..... Wait X Factor hasnt even finished yet... #FIXFACTOR."

Daniel Burne (@dburne) also claimed that the show was a fix writing "LOL at HMV releasing Amelia Lily's 'winners single' accidentally online today. Just shows it should be called #fixfactor"

Another 'X Factor' conspiracy theorist, Nathan Sykes (@SivaYouSxyBeast), also weighed in the allegations posting "Oh look, Amelia Lily's 'winner's single' is on the hmv website already. #FixFactor or what?"

In November, ITV's Scottish ITV franchise STV suspiciously posted an announcement revealing Amelia Lily’s return to the show a full hour before voting stopped.

Are these all honest mistakes? Or proof this year’s ‘X Factor’ is a sham? Let us know below.
