The women of Wisteria Lane are back.

After what seems like an eternity, Desperate Housewives returns to Channel 4 for a brand new series.

The UK debut of the fourth series of the hit show had been delayed by the US writers' strike - just 11 episodes had been completed before production was stopped last November.

However, with the Writers' Strike resolved, the show is back on our screens.

Viewers were left hanging - and Edie was left hanging quite literally - when series three ended last June.
