The brand new series of Dancing On Ice has been hit by controversy before it even reaches our screens.
The other dancers feel that GMTV's Michael Underwood has an unfair advantage as this will be the third time he has trained to take part in the show, reports The Sun.
Michael trained as a reserve for the 2007 series and then last year trained again when he was confirmed to take part in the show. However, he was forced to pull out after breaking his ankle during training so is being given another chance this year.
A Dancing On Ice source told The Sun: "Other stars are furious that while they were learning basics like starting and stopping, Michael was probably practising the headbanger. It's unfair and they told him they think so."
Michael has responded to the claims and said: "Yes, I can see why people say that. In some ways it's an advantage - but breaking your leg isn't. It takes a long time to get over that."
Do you think Michael should be allowed a third chance on the show - or is it unfair to the other skaters? Let us know what you think...

Posted by: wise.sarahjane on Tue Jan 06 01:54PM | Report abuseI think he should be allowed to take part.He was injured quite early on and therefore would have to wait until the break healed, and possibly would need physiotherapy before he could do any proper training.

Posted by: pam_shaw2000 on Tue Jan 06 01:55PM | Report abuseI think he should be allowed to skate. Yes some success stories are due to the amount of hard work put in and training, however it is also down to natural skill which cannot be taught. There is always this argument: for example, pop stars quite often have an advantage over other opponents in Strictly Come Dancing due to the dancing they have done in their videos. Lets stop getting so serious about everything and just enjoy ourselves!
