Is Michael skating on thin ice?

The brand new series of Dancing On Ice has been hit by controversy before it even reaches our screens.

The other dancers feel that GMTV's Michael Underwood has an unfair advantage as this will be the third time he has trained to take part in the show, reports The Sun.

Michael trained as a reserve for the 2007 series and then last year trained again when he was confirmed to take part in the show. However, he was forced to pull out after breaking his ankle during training so is being given another chance this year.

A Dancing On Ice source told The Sun: "Other stars are furious that while they were learning basics like starting and stopping, Michael was probably practising the headbanger. It's unfair and they told him they think so."

Michael has responded to the claims and said: "Yes, I can see why people say that. In some ways it's an advantage - but breaking your leg isn't. It takes a long time to get over that."

Do you think Michael should be allowed a third chance on the show - or is it unfair to the other skaters? Let us know what you think...

I think they should all be quiet, he is not the worst skater but he certainly is not the best either. Ray Quinn was fantastic!!! I think people would have a point if he had skated like Ray but he clearly didnt. It takes a lot of courage to try and do something after a serious injury after all they gave Greame le Saux support after his fall.

Who gives a @#$%, there are plenty of more important events happening around the world than for us to be worried about Micheal having an advantage or not. I genuinely cannot believe that we the British public are that shallow that we find a bunch of overpaid twits trying to skate entertaining. Reality TV shows SUCK !!

Well it doesnt really matter lets face it with sundays show he is clearly no better than the others anyway and i suppose after breaking his ankle his confidence will have been knocked so has started from scratch again anyway......

I think he should be given another chance to be on the show - it was a shame that he never got to finish the show last year. At the end of the day its the "popular" people who get voted for anyway so I dont see that it matters. You could say that Ray Quinn has an advantage because he has experience in rollerblading - are you going to have a go at him too?

i think that he should not have another chance because he is not giving the other contestants a chance. He has already been part of the dancing of ice team before so he should stand down and let someone else take his place.
