Strictly Come Dancing may be over for another year but the controversy continues with reports of problems with the voting lines and backstage tears from the unlucky finalists.
Holby City actor Tom Chambers triumphed in Saturday's final despite making mistakes in his final dances - meanwhile, Lisa Snowdon finished in third place in the public vote despite getting two perfect sets of scores from the judges.
Lisa's father told the Telegraph that the presenter was 'fuming' that Tom had made it through to the final after the BBC suspended the phone vote during the semi-final.
He said: "To be honest Lisa was fuming because she felt that she and Rachel should have been in the final outright.
"Something went wrong and it needs to be sorted for next year because some of the voting was bordering on farcical. The whole show was just one big popularity contest."
The paper also claims that many fans were unable to vote for both Rachel and Lisa because the phone lines were constantly busy.
Rachel Stevens has admitted that she was a 'blubbering wreck' after hearing the result and had to quickly leave the studios.
Do you think this year's final was a farce? Did the right person win? Let us know what you think...

Everyone was up in arms when the judges wanted John Sergeant out and the public kept him in, so it should be no suprise that Tom won despite getting poor scores from the judges. It should be down to either the public OR the judges - it's clearly not working as a joint decision.
Posted by: darren_and_michelle on Mon Dec 22 12:28PM | Report abuseI LOVED Tom. He was consistently good and undermarked by the judges all the way through. He was a pure gentleman, modest, generous to all the other contestants and his show dance was the best dance of the series. All three were excellent and ultimately this series came down to WHO you liked best becasue dancewise there was nothing to choose between them. So Tom won not only because of his consistently good dancing but because of his good nature and uncomplicated charm and enthusiasm. Well done, Tom!

Posted by: qixman on Mon Dec 22 12:28PM | Report abusethe final result was a FARCE and has turned me off the show completely. On dancing ability, It should've been the 2 girls in the final and Rachel should've won. Who is this Tom guy anyway - sorry I wouldn' watch whatever show he's in! The judges are there FOR A REASON, i.e., to JUDGE DANCING! Goodbye to such a ludicrous exhibition.

Posted by: johnmcmenamin62 on Mon Dec 22 12:28PM | Report abuseHopefully in future there will be a prize for the best dancer based on the judges votes and one for the most popular dancer based on the public vote.
Posted by: robertoddy on Mon Dec 22 12:28PM | Report abuseNo, the right person didn,t win. Yes, it was a farce. I dont see what the difference is in Tom winning to John Sargeant winning. Make up your mind BBC, do you want the public to decide or the Judges? If it is the public who should decide then John should have won, if the Judges, then Rachel or Lisa.
Posted by: rhiannonme on Mon Dec 22 12:28PM | Report abuseI did think the whole 'suspeding the semi final vote' thing was a bit farcical, they'never done it in any other year, the person who comes last with the judges is always pretty much guaranteed to be in the dance off. PLUS if Tom HAD been in the dance off there's nothing to say he wouldn't have been amazing and beaten either Lisa or Rachel and EARNED his place in the final anyway! By doing what they did the BBC have left the poor bugger to be forever lambasted about not earning his win. Silly really.
