Strictly Come Dancing may be over for another year but the controversy continues with reports of problems with the voting lines and backstage tears from the unlucky finalists.
Holby City actor Tom Chambers triumphed in Saturday's final despite making mistakes in his final dances - meanwhile, Lisa Snowdon finished in third place in the public vote despite getting two perfect sets of scores from the judges.
Lisa's father told the Telegraph that the presenter was 'fuming' that Tom had made it through to the final after the BBC suspended the phone vote during the semi-final.
He said: "To be honest Lisa was fuming because she felt that she and Rachel should have been in the final outright.
"Something went wrong and it needs to be sorted for next year because some of the voting was bordering on farcical. The whole show was just one big popularity contest."
The paper also claims that many fans were unable to vote for both Rachel and Lisa because the phone lines were constantly busy.
Rachel Stevens has admitted that she was a 'blubbering wreck' after hearing the result and had to quickly leave the studios.
Do you think this year's final was a farce? Did the right person win? Let us know what you think...

Tom definately should have won...his show dance was superb. Also its an entertainment show and both Lisa and Rachel havent had the public support throughout the contest. But the public have the right to vote for whoever they want.

Posted by: c_ballett on Mon Dec 22 12:27PM | Report abuseHi, I have to say in Tom's defence he is currently the one in the public eye at this present moment in time with HOLBY etc so it was obivious that the public would vote for someone they knew. That is in no way aimed to take anything away from Lisa and Rachel as I felt they did great. But as WE have all seen before voting can be a fickle thing MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone Regards Sam

Posted by: charlie_killick on Mon Dec 22 12:27PM | Report abuseNo way should Tom have won,. his marked dances weren't as good as the others, and Lisa to not be in final two after two perfect sets stinks..... personally he won it on the show dance and i don't know why that was even included!
Posted by: rob_overfield on Mon Dec 22 12:27PM | Report abusei thought that Tom's show dance was miles better than the other two, and on that dance he deserved to win!
Posted by: katygalbraith on Mon Dec 22 12:27PM | Report abuseObviously the voting system needs a review. I voted for Tom throughout and couldn't understand why the judges always favoured Lisa & Rachel as it is more difficult for a male celebrity. The final show dance performed by Tom & Camilla deserved to win - even the judges were impressed with it. Lisa & Brendan's was awful.
Posted by: judroprob on Mon Dec 22 12:28PM | Report abuseI feel that both Lisa and Rachel had both shown more skill in the final-----how can you argue with scores of 80 and 79. The mistake in tom's dancing should have ruled him out. As I have never seen the TV programme he was in -- my opinion is based on the dancing alone ,as should have been the voting.
Posted by: cyronaj13 on Mon Dec 22 12:28PM | Report abuseThink the final outcome was totally unfair, Rachel and Lisa were by far the better dancers. Tom seems lovely and is good looking, so think he won votes from women who 'fancied' him rather than for his dancing.
Posted by: maccytee on Mon Dec 22 12:28PM | Report abuseThis is all so very unimportant. The entertainment component appears to have been lost - who really cares who won. Good finalists. Too too competitive for the fun it should have generated.
