Strictly Come Dancing may be over for another year but the controversy continues with reports of problems with the voting lines and backstage tears from the unlucky finalists.
Holby City actor Tom Chambers triumphed in Saturday's final despite making mistakes in his final dances - meanwhile, Lisa Snowdon finished in third place in the public vote despite getting two perfect sets of scores from the judges.
Lisa's father told the Telegraph that the presenter was 'fuming' that Tom had made it through to the final after the BBC suspended the phone vote during the semi-final.
He said: "To be honest Lisa was fuming because she felt that she and Rachel should have been in the final outright.
"Something went wrong and it needs to be sorted for next year because some of the voting was bordering on farcical. The whole show was just one big popularity contest."
The paper also claims that many fans were unable to vote for both Rachel and Lisa because the phone lines were constantly busy.
Rachel Stevens has admitted that she was a 'blubbering wreck' after hearing the result and had to quickly leave the studios.
Do you think this year's final was a farce? Did the right person win? Let us know what you think...

Of course its a farce. It's not about whether you can dance but about how many phoning fans you can dredge up. Look at the John Sargeant situation. Quite ridiculous.

Posted by: plywood_010 on Mon Dec 22 12:26PM | Report abuseTom did a sensational free style dance - really uplifting, and he was very, very popular. Sorry if the others felt they deserved it more than he did - they were great too, but the public wanted to award it to Tom. It must be hard to loose, but better to do it with grace than sour grapes.
Posted by: fionaleus on Mon Dec 22 12:26PM | Report abuseI think Rachel and Lisas show dances were great but Tom's was the most entertaining. I must admit before I saw his dance I wanted Rachel to win but fair play to him he pulled it out of the bag at the last moment. As for it being a popularity contest you aren't going to get anything else when it's the public voting so live with it.
Posted by: wugglers on Mon Dec 22 12:26PM | Report abuseTom's show dance was FAR FAR better than Lisa's. Lisa needs to get over it - it's a TV programme. Rachel was ACE, but it was Tom's dance that shone in the end!
Posted by: garyanddebbiebond on Mon Dec 22 12:26PM | Report abuseI agree, Tom would not have been in the final if the previous dance off had taken place. I could not get through to vote for Rachel in the 2nd show, even though I got through in the first show on Saturday. Jill
Posted by: jilleveleigh on Mon Dec 22 12:26PM | Report abuseI thought the whole point was that the public voted for their favourite!!Surely the phones were busy because so many people were voting? I rang constantly on redial for Tom and mannaged to get 1 vote in just before the voting closed! This all sounds like sour grapes to me - they were all good but Tom was the most popular..............that Showdance WAS a...........maz.............ing!!!!!!!

Posted by: pepper_peaches on Mon Dec 22 12:27PM | Report abusewe think tom deserved to win he had the crowd behind him his show dance was brilliant as a show dance should have been rachels looked like an ordinary dance absolutely nothing special infact even lisas was better and as tom was having to do all the leading he did very well the only other male worthy of a final place would have been austin
Posted by: debncol69 on Mon Dec 22 12:27PM | Report abuseI don't really think it matters. It is an entertainment programme, for TV - not a dancing competition.
