Strictly Come Dancing may be over for another year but the controversy continues with reports of problems with the voting lines and backstage tears from the unlucky finalists.
Holby City actor Tom Chambers triumphed in Saturday's final despite making mistakes in his final dances - meanwhile, Lisa Snowdon finished in third place in the public vote despite getting two perfect sets of scores from the judges.
Lisa's father told the Telegraph that the presenter was 'fuming' that Tom had made it through to the final after the BBC suspended the phone vote during the semi-final.
He said: "To be honest Lisa was fuming because she felt that she and Rachel should have been in the final outright.
"Something went wrong and it needs to be sorted for next year because some of the voting was bordering on farcical. The whole show was just one big popularity contest."
The paper also claims that many fans were unable to vote for both Rachel and Lisa because the phone lines were constantly busy.
Rachel Stevens has admitted that she was a 'blubbering wreck' after hearing the result and had to quickly leave the studios.
Do you think this year's final was a farce? Did the right person win? Let us know what you think...

All of the final three dancers were brilliant and I for one would not have been disappointed to see any of them win, however Toms show dance was amazing, (well done Camilla) and I think that gave him the edge. Well done to all of them, you should all be proud.

If you want the best dancer to win then stop the public voting when it get to the semi finals.. EH
Posted by: hill.elaine on Mon Jan 05 09:40PM | Report abuseTom Chambers was a worthy winner. His dances were always entertaining and he showed his versatility. Rachel Stevens came over as a 'pop diva'; probably she had attended a Stage School and if so this gave her an unfair advantage. The voting public voted for the dancer with the greatest personality.

Posted by: ruby_meider on Mon Jan 05 11:00PM | Report abuseThe best man definitely won, Tom was fun and entertaining and their showdance was superb. Shame that the two @#$%, especially Rachel, took it all so seriously. I am delighted for Tom, Camilla and Tom's wife and hope that we, the public, will see Tom in lots of TV shows and musicals in the future. I am sure he is set to be "very big" and deservedly so.

Posted by: ssspotter36 on Tue Jan 06 03:55AM | Report abuseI think Tom won fair and square, although Rachael was my favourite. And if contestants are going to be sore losers, they shouldn't be in the show. Isn't the charity more important. Not their ego's. They should remember why they entered in the first place. I suppose it's one way of keeping them in the news.
