Strictly Come Dancing may be over for another year but the controversy continues with reports of problems with the voting lines and backstage tears from the unlucky finalists.
Holby City actor Tom Chambers triumphed in Saturday's final despite making mistakes in his final dances - meanwhile, Lisa Snowdon finished in third place in the public vote despite getting two perfect sets of scores from the judges.
Lisa's father told the Telegraph that the presenter was 'fuming' that Tom had made it through to the final after the BBC suspended the phone vote during the semi-final.
He said: "To be honest Lisa was fuming because she felt that she and Rachel should have been in the final outright.
"Something went wrong and it needs to be sorted for next year because some of the voting was bordering on farcical. The whole show was just one big popularity contest."
The paper also claims that many fans were unable to vote for both Rachel and Lisa because the phone lines were constantly busy.
Rachel Stevens has admitted that she was a 'blubbering wreck' after hearing the result and had to quickly leave the studios.
Do you think this year's final was a farce? Did the right person win? Let us know what you think...

voted for rachel...she was more consistent and a much better dancer throughout, however tom's last dance was very entertaining.the walts' were good to but i think that rachel was more graceful. well done rachel you should have won!!!!x

Posted by: harriet.southsea on Tue Dec 23 03:38PM | Report abuseTom should have won as he was consistently good throughout the series. Tom's show dance was by far the best. It should have been Tom, Rachel and Austin in the final anyway. Lisa should have been knocked out of the competition weeks ago and was lucky to stay in, and her show dance was boring. It is usually the show dance that decides the winner. I didn't see Colin Jackson complain when Darren Gough won, he acted like a grown up!!
Posted by: blueboys7935 on Tue Dec 23 08:17PM | Report abuseThis was a very tightly fought contest and Tom deserved to be there. He brilliantly performed dances throughout but didn't get the 10s that he truly deserved but never complained about others getting them. The show dance was the decider for me - Tom and Camilla's was spectacular and in a different league to the others. It was the tightest series so far. Congratulations also to Austin who was great.

Posted by: elaine.barton1 on Wed Dec 24 03:09PM | Report abuseNo, I don't think the right person won. The best dancers were Rachael and Vincent, and it seems that, that was not the outcome the producers favoured. The semi final and the final votingwise was a farce. The producers of the show has spoilt it for everyone, the hardworking dancers who put their all into it and the licence paying viewers.

Posted by: stott430 on Thu Dec 25 03:52PM | Report abuseIt was no contest...Rachael and Vincent were streets ahead, the phone lines were jammed but I tried the Tom Chambers number...no problem. A child could work out what went on there. The public voting system is a joke anyway, why would you trust the public to decide the outcome when the public know nothing about ballroom dancing. Of course the vote is going to reflect personality..and if I'd have heard another word about Tom Chamber's marriage and how he wanted to do it for his beautiful new wife..one more time, I'd have switched off. I enjoy 'Strictly', I think it's a shame that the BBC seems to be incapable of getting the voting system worked out. If you're going to have audience participation then give up with the sob stories and the sickly romantic stuff and concentrate on the dancing..who cares about what the families think etc...they're hardly likely to say...Oh actually I prefer ...are they? The BBC have a potentially great programme here...but personally I will think twice next time..It's clear that the decision that Tom would win was made well in advance or he'd have been eliminated in the semi final when his score was miles lower that the other two contestants.
Posted by: soavis on Fri Dec 26 07:05AM | Report abuseI think he was brill. The only reason people say Rachel shoul of won was the judges votes and i have every seen 4 people pick on some one so much because they want the other person to win. Plus Toms last dance was the best and Rachel spent most of hers up in the air and not doing alot of dancing.
Posted by: kerryt3003 on Fri Dec 26 08:56PM | Report abuseThe final has to have three couples in it becuase that is how the system works to make it a show. The problem arose becuase the Beeb ignored the inevital outcome when John Sergeant left. If they had suspended voting that week to allow all the remaining couples to go forward then matters would have sorted them selves out and no problem. However, it cannot be denied thhat given the opportunity Tom was by far the most superior on the final night with his show dance. The show dance that Lisa would have competed with was poor and Racheals was steamy but unconvincing whilst Tom thrilled on every level. That is why he won. There is a strong whiff of sour grapes fronm the two girls as far as I am concerned.
