Strictly Come Dancing may be over for another year but the controversy continues with reports of problems with the voting lines and backstage tears from the unlucky finalists.
Holby City actor Tom Chambers triumphed in Saturday's final despite making mistakes in his final dances - meanwhile, Lisa Snowdon finished in third place in the public vote despite getting two perfect sets of scores from the judges.
Lisa's father told the Telegraph that the presenter was 'fuming' that Tom had made it through to the final after the BBC suspended the phone vote during the semi-final.
He said: "To be honest Lisa was fuming because she felt that she and Rachel should have been in the final outright.
"Something went wrong and it needs to be sorted for next year because some of the voting was bordering on farcical. The whole show was just one big popularity contest."
The paper also claims that many fans were unable to vote for both Rachel and Lisa because the phone lines were constantly busy.
Rachel Stevens has admitted that she was a 'blubbering wreck' after hearing the result and had to quickly leave the studios.
Do you think this year's final was a farce? Did the right person win? Let us know what you think...

Just one big fix
Posted by: alan.stone1 on Tue Dec 23 11:39AM | Report abuseTom deserved to win he has been brilliant throughout the whole show, I had problems voting as the lines were busy but I just kept redialing and got through, Toms show dance was outstanding and he deserved to win the show based on that dance alone,
Posted by: r.williams03 on Tue Dec 23 11:43AM | Report abuseI think it was an utter disappointment this year. The fact that Tom got through to the final lost the show any creditability and then the fact that he went on to win it after making further mistakes has left me feeling that it was a fix. What are the BBC playing at?
Posted by: susie77wood on Tue Dec 23 11:46AM | Report abuseThis is a popularity show as well as ability, the judges obviously wanted Lisa to win but it is obvious from all the other public votes that she is not very popular with the voting public. After all she is fake and stuck up.
Posted by: mermaidhotel on Tue Dec 23 11:48AM | Report abuseThis is a children's programme for crying out loud. It's got nothing to do with dancing (ballroom is watered down rubbish designed for people who could never be dancers AND the people doing it are "celebrities", not top dancers anyway). Those of you taking it seriously, grow up! The disturbing thing is that this seems to be the current jewel in the crown of BBC programming. Do we really want TV this dumbed down?
Posted by: smantorelli on Tue Dec 23 11:52AM | Report abuseI THINK TOM DESERVED TO BE IN THE FINAL AND WON HIS PLACE FAIR AND SQUARE. I THOUGHT HIS FINAL DANCE WAS VERY ENTERTAINING AND FUN. IF PEOPLE THINK HE SHOULD NOT HAVE WON THEN THE SHOULD LET THE JUDGES DECIDE WITHOUT PHONE VOTING BUT THAT WONT GENERATE ANY MONEY FOR THE BBC. SABINE
Posted by: dcands on Tue Dec 23 11:52AM | Report abuseI for one could not get through to cast my vote for Rachel - I'm sure it was rigged.........Tom's last show dance was fabulous - however he should never have been the winner - I don't know what to suggest for the voting for next year as it does come down to the public in the end - and if there are enough 'fans' out there for certain people they are bound to get through. I think it very unfair that some contestants have the opportunity to 'troll for votes' every day by appearing on TV or on radio ie The One Show - where they blatantly kept asking for votes for Christina and others such as Heather and Rachel had to rely on the odd TV interview. Of course we all heard about Tom's wonderful sacrifice with his wedding so often - and seeing him in his series -.................Rachel should have won.
Posted by: marrics on Tue Dec 23 11:59AM | Report abuseLet's get real with this show. It's the Judges vote or a vote from 'The Viewers' to run the two together has been a shambles.

Posted by: larry.phillips on Tue Dec 23 12:26PM | Report abuseJohn Sargeant should not have resigned - he provided the most entertainment out of all the contestants. Let's hope they have someone similar in the next series.
