Strictly Come Dancing may be over for another year but the controversy continues with reports of problems with the voting lines and backstage tears from the unlucky finalists.
Holby City actor Tom Chambers triumphed in Saturday's final despite making mistakes in his final dances - meanwhile, Lisa Snowdon finished in third place in the public vote despite getting two perfect sets of scores from the judges.
Lisa's father told the Telegraph that the presenter was 'fuming' that Tom had made it through to the final after the BBC suspended the phone vote during the semi-final.
He said: "To be honest Lisa was fuming because she felt that she and Rachel should have been in the final outright.
"Something went wrong and it needs to be sorted for next year because some of the voting was bordering on farcical. The whole show was just one big popularity contest."
The paper also claims that many fans were unable to vote for both Rachel and Lisa because the phone lines were constantly busy.
Rachel Stevens has admitted that she was a 'blubbering wreck' after hearing the result and had to quickly leave the studios.
Do you think this year's final was a farce? Did the right person win? Let us know what you think...

I think everyone should just get it into perspective. Yes, he was the weakest dancer of the 3 but clearly the public found him the most entertaining and liked him the best (I didn't vote for him). If you're going to let the public decide, it will ultimately come down to a popularity contest, that's just the nature of the beast. He won fair and square according to the rules so just get over it!
Posted by: cpu_fox on Mon Dec 22 12:25PM | Report abuseI tried a couple of times to vote and the lines were engaged but this only happened at the beginning of the show. No problem afterwards and its about time people got real and stopped being so horrible!!!!! I think after Tom's show dance he deserved to win. Let them enjoy...........
Posted by: alexmcgonigle262 on Mon Dec 22 12:25PM | Report abuseYou CANNOT give people a right to vote, then tell them they voted for the wrong person! Fact: Any debate over the result is sheer idiocy! Sad really. James

Posted by: steer109 on Mon Dec 22 12:25PM | Report abuseThe only 'winner' in the whole farce was John Sargent. If the BBC want to pass off Forsythe as a comedian then the public should be allowed to pass off JS as a dancer.
Posted by: lwarem on Mon Dec 22 12:25PM | Report abuseThew whole voting farce appears to have been engineered to get Tom into the final despite his poor performance in the semi finals. I turned the programme off after seeing that the vates from last week were to be carried over, and what the points awarded were, it was obvious that the girls would stand no chance when it came to a public vote - if such a thing can be considered reliable.
