Strictly Come Dancing may be over for another year but the controversy continues with reports of problems with the voting lines and backstage tears from the unlucky finalists.
Holby City actor Tom Chambers triumphed in Saturday's final despite making mistakes in his final dances - meanwhile, Lisa Snowdon finished in third place in the public vote despite getting two perfect sets of scores from the judges.
Lisa's father told the Telegraph that the presenter was 'fuming' that Tom had made it through to the final after the BBC suspended the phone vote during the semi-final.
He said: "To be honest Lisa was fuming because she felt that she and Rachel should have been in the final outright.
"Something went wrong and it needs to be sorted for next year because some of the voting was bordering on farcical. The whole show was just one big popularity contest."
The paper also claims that many fans were unable to vote for both Rachel and Lisa because the phone lines were constantly busy.
Rachel Stevens has admitted that she was a 'blubbering wreck' after hearing the result and had to quickly leave the studios.
Do you think this year's final was a farce? Did the right person win? Let us know what you think...

What a farce! TOM SHOULD NOT HAVE WON. The votes "carried forward" from the week before were bound to have been stacked with votes for him as he was bottom. These never should have been carried forward. Ridiculous.

Posted by: donoghueanne on Mon Dec 22 12:30PM | Report abuseThe beeb obviously saw a problem with the semi as people were voting to keep Tom out of the dance off, and quite rightly suspended the vote, and as for Lisa, she danced in the final didn't she !!!, also the phone line was constantly busy for Tom tooooo, there are bound to be sour grapes, and thats all it is.

Posted by: martinandjosie on Mon Dec 22 12:30PM | Report abuseGet over it LISA.....you werent going to won anyway...not only because you didnt entertain as well as Tom and Rachel..its because you werent good enough. The fact remain that people outright voted for Tom to win which means mistakes or not he was the favorite.......This is exactly why i never voted for Lisa because she is a spoilt brat
Posted by: jacquescott9 on Mon Dec 22 12:30PM | Report abusehell ya he was great, im glad lisa didnt win she really annoying ,especially her fake smile. All through the competition Tom has done superb dances and hasn't had a 40 score, in my opinion he should have, the judges are biased! Toms final dance was way better than rachels, i think thats what made him won. Also it isnt a competition its FUN i dont know if lisas dad realised that. TOM

Posted by: alnkop on Mon Dec 22 12:30PM | Report abuse3 male winners, 3 female winners. Nice and even hey.
Posted by: daveymather on Mon Dec 22 12:30PM | Report abuseyahoo's own poll shows Tom Chambers as the preferred winner, the voting both last week and this offered the same conclusion and I doubt if any of the other finalists wanted their natural disappointment turned into a schoolyard brawl by a lazy reporter who would not know a headline news story if it bit him on his a**.
