Strictly Come Dancing may be over for another year but the controversy continues with reports of problems with the voting lines and backstage tears from the unlucky finalists.
Holby City actor Tom Chambers triumphed in Saturday's final despite making mistakes in his final dances - meanwhile, Lisa Snowdon finished in third place in the public vote despite getting two perfect sets of scores from the judges.
Lisa's father told the Telegraph that the presenter was 'fuming' that Tom had made it through to the final after the BBC suspended the phone vote during the semi-final.
He said: "To be honest Lisa was fuming because she felt that she and Rachel should have been in the final outright.
"Something went wrong and it needs to be sorted for next year because some of the voting was bordering on farcical. The whole show was just one big popularity contest."
The paper also claims that many fans were unable to vote for both Rachel and Lisa because the phone lines were constantly busy.
Rachel Stevens has admitted that she was a 'blubbering wreck' after hearing the result and had to quickly leave the studios.
Do you think this year's final was a farce? Did the right person win? Let us know what you think...

Posted by: robin.cameron1 on Mon Dec 22 12:29PM | Report abuseOf course the whole thing is yet another BBC farce. Lisa has every right to be furious. Tom should not have won. He should not have even been in the final. His dancing was far inferior to Lisa's and Rachel's. He should have been voted off the previous week. I lost interest as soon as I heard that he had been voted into the final, and not Lisa and Brendan. This 'fix' has spoilt the whole 'good clean fun' image of the programme, and I for one, won't be watching it next year.

Posted by: susanjanemclean on Mon Dec 22 12:29PM | Report abuseThe Final was a farce, it was quite obvious that Tom was going to win when the results from last week were given, Tom getting the most telephone votes. There was no reason to think that would change for the final, I believe he should of been out, he made a mistake in one of his dances and his other dance just wasn't as good as the others. The judges voted him in third place and if the people at home voted on the dances instead of their favourites the final would of been between the two girls. It is quite clear to me this will be a problem every year and I doubt I will watch it again. I feel sorry for Rachel and Lisa who danced brilliantly on the night.
Posted by: kreases2001 on Mon Dec 22 12:29PM | Report abuseWithout doubt Tom was the weaker dancer in the semi-final and also through the first leg of the final. Yes his show dance was the best, but he should not have made it there in the first place. Not sure if I would have wanted Lisa or Rachel to win between the two of them, because they were both so good, but that should have been the choice available!
Posted by: martyn_hammond on Mon Dec 22 12:29PM | Report abuseTom Chambers was nowhere near as good as Lisa and Rachel and should NOT have made it to the finals. Although Tom's Show Dance was brilliant, Lisa and Rachel had been consistantly better than Tom in the last few weeks. Although entertainment might be a reason to keep someone in in the firs weeks, surely at this stage in the competition (and yes it is a dancing competition, otherwise why would the celebrities and the professionals work so hard!) hard work and better performance should be the reason to get votes and stay in! Rachel and Lisa definitely BOTH deserved to be the final 2!
