Strictly Come Dancing's Arlene Phillips has hit out at this year's finalists, saying none of them are as good as last year's winner Alesha Dixon.
The judge said that, despite being a good dancer, Rachel Stevens isn't a 'bubbly, bouncy girl' like Alesha and she accused bookies' favourite Tom Chambers of 'over-acting', reports The Sun.
Arlene said: "What's odd about Tom is, one would think, because he's an actor, he would know how to portray a dance.
"But we can see him acting the role and that's off-putting."
She added that Lisa Snowdon was the most likeable out of the final three but admitted that she would have preferred to see Austin Healey, who was voted out several weeks ago, win the series.

Why the exaggerated use of "slates"? Arlene has done nothing of the sort, merely voiced a few moderate criticisms and her opinion. Is journalistic hyperbole the only way to get readers? On second thoughts, don't answer that! Iain Climie

Arlene you are an absolute sucker for the media, you are supposed to be judging their dancing, not whether they have cleaned their teeth today or wearing the latest thong or not. Arlene, you are out of the dance off, I expect to see you in a monastery with Bruce Forsyth in the next series. Bruce take a tip from me go out while you are on top.

She gave the show pazzaz and clearly had the talent and persona to match. The power that she had on screen has not been matched by the finalists or any of the dancers this year. She sent a standard and it has not been touched. Lisa Snowden has really improved which is great and Rachel is a good dancer but I wonder where her energy is power is. That is something that a dancer must have and if you put her and Alesha together, Alesha would knock her socks off hands down.
