Strictly Come Dancing's Arlene Phillips has hit out at this year's finalists, saying none of them are as good as last year's winner Alesha Dixon.
The judge said that, despite being a good dancer, Rachel Stevens isn't a 'bubbly, bouncy girl' like Alesha and she accused bookies' favourite Tom Chambers of 'over-acting', reports The Sun.
Arlene said: "What's odd about Tom is, one would think, because he's an actor, he would know how to portray a dance.
"But we can see him acting the role and that's off-putting."
She added that Lisa Snowdon was the most likeable out of the final three but admitted that she would have preferred to see Austin Healey, who was voted out several weeks ago, win the series.

i think the last two that are left are the best i dont think tom should be in this week and as for the judges comments she should spend more time looking at the dances and less timec looking at the arses

There's some truth in what she's saying, but I think maybe she should have waited until after the show finished before making these comments. That's if she did make them.

It's like comparing chalk and cheese - you just can't. So get on with judging what you have got which are three couples who have worked very hard to get to THEIR final - let them enjoy it and savour the moment for goodness sake!!!!

Posted by: petershamilton on Fri Dec 19 01:12PM | Report abuseAlesha should neve have won it last year as Matt was a far better dancer on the day, but the judges had made up their mind long before the final. This year, Tom has been brilliant from the start, he's a natural dancer with superb movement and, in my opinion, better than Austin, who was only good - for a rugby player! Rachel too has improved dramatically - far beyond what Alesha ever achieved and it should be those two in the final, with either of them winning making me happy. As for Lisa, - there's something about that girl I just don't like and it seems I'm not alone.

And she's wrong anyway, I don't find Lisa very likeable, have never had a problem with Tom's acting (except in his Paso), and Rachel is pretty fantastic. But then again this is the Sun, and we shouldn't believe all of this, it's probably completely made up.
