Strictly Come Dancing's Tom Chambers

Holby City star Tom Chambers is facing an angry backlash from some Strictly Come Dancing viewers who believe he should not be in Saturday night's final.

The actor was given a pass through to the final after the BBC abandoned the phone vote last weekend.

All three couples were allowed through when it became clear that viewers voting for Tom would be unable to save him from the dance-off, due to the tie between Lisa and Rachel at the top of the leaderboard.

Originally votes from last weekend were to be carried over to the final but they now won't be counted and the BBC are offering a refund to anyone who voted.

However, many fans of the series are unhappy that Tom will feature in the final and some are calling for him to do the honorable thing and step down, reports the Daily Mirror.

A show insider told the paper: "Things have turned sour for Tom since Saturday. He and Camilla wanted to get through properly, not be given a free ride. They feel they could have won a dance-off.

"Camilla is really upset and has been crying. She doesn't want anyone to think they have cheated in any way."

Do you think Tom deserves his place in the final? Let us know what you think...

Of course Tom and Camilla deserve a chance, just as Rachel and Lisa do. The biased scoring of the judges shouldn't prevent Tom from participating in the final, and to think otherwise would demean all the time and training Tom and Camilla have done throughout the competition.

I think that this whole situation appears to be a "fix" it doesn't look good and endorses the fact that the result has already been decided and the "public" vote means absolutely nothing. Tom has been give maximum publicity both in the newspapers and the T.V. coverage. Tom SHOULD stand down but we all know that this will not take place and the result on Saturday will be a complete farce.

I feel so sorry for Camilla and Tom now, as no matter what the rights and wrongs are, they will be feeling terrible and that will effect their dancing. Diana Sherman , Norfolk

I still think that Tom deserves a pl;ace in the final . As if you look back to when john sergent left what the show should have done was not voted anyone off on that week and then the balance would have been correct . With three as it is. Also I wrote to strictly last week before the dance took place as I felt it was very unfair to have the couples doing the Argentinian Tango as Vincent would have an unfair advantage as he was the one who specialises in this dance and he brought the dance to strictly in the first place. Plus I really feel that in last weeks dances they shopuld all have been given the same dances each eg one ballroom and one latin so everyone was treated equally . this would have been the fairest way to have dealt with it .

I think that what has happened has happened, and people should just accept that and give tom and camilla support, rather than say they have cheated. I think that they have every right to be in the final as the others do.

it should have gone to a dance off at least that way whoever go through would have felt they had earned the place. Tom and Camilla should not feel badly about what has happened
