Holby City star Tom Chambers is facing an angry backlash from some Strictly Come Dancing viewers who believe he should not be in Saturday night's final.
The actor was given a pass through to the final after the BBC abandoned the phone vote last weekend.
All three couples were allowed through when it became clear that viewers voting for Tom would be unable to save him from the dance-off, due to the tie between Lisa and Rachel at the top of the leaderboard.
Originally votes from last weekend were to be carried over to the final but they now won't be counted and the BBC are offering a refund to anyone who voted.
However, many fans of the series are unhappy that Tom will feature in the final and some are calling for him to do the honorable thing and step down, reports the Daily Mirror.
A show insider told the paper: "Things have turned sour for Tom since Saturday. He and Camilla wanted to get through properly, not be given a free ride. They feel they could have won a dance-off.
"Camilla is really upset and has been crying. She doesn't want anyone to think they have cheated in any way."
Do you think Tom deserves his place in the final? Let us know what you think...

Posted by: bobbycperry on Wed Dec 17 01:43PM | Report abuseAll these so called 'fans' make me laugh...if they were true fans of the show they would be happy with the result...this will be the best final in the history of Strictly. Why should Tom quit because of a decision made without the couples knowing about it. Everyone should just shut up and enjoy the final. Can't wait for it :D :D xxx

Posted by: tracey_a_pratt on Wed Dec 17 01:43PM | Report abuseOf course he deserves his place in the final. The problem was caused by the BBC, who should have realised that with 3 couples to go and 2 of them tying according to the judges score, the other couple would in effect be in 3rd place, but who would the dance-off be with? Anyone with an ounce of intelligence could have forseen this outlook, but not apparently the whizz kids at the BBC?

Posted by: ken209 on Wed Dec 17 01:43PM | Report abuseIt's not Toms fault, the whole series has become a total debacle, with most of the audiance still thinking they were supporting children in need, then the "sargeant" affair. ~ disgrace, now the voting fiasco, I feel sorry for Tom and Camilla, but the public realise that they should not probably not be in the final, BBC ~ you should be ashamed!!
Posted by: mgkwacker on Wed Dec 17 01:43PM | Report abuseYes - Tom is great. Let him go through to the finals. Massivefan
Posted by: allison.smith2008 on Wed Dec 17 01:43PM | Report abuseTom is a great dancer and thoroughly deserves to be in the final. He and Camilla can dance the pants off Lisa Snowdon - he dances with his heart, she dances with her feet.
Posted by: baylissjackson on Wed Dec 17 01:43PM | Report abuseTom should be in, and win, the final. If anyone should go it should be the over biased judges who show continual favoritism. We lost the 'entertainment' aspect of the show several weeks ago. Lets get this series finished and, hopefully, not to be repeated.
