Strictly Come Dancing's Tom Chambers

Holby City star Tom Chambers is facing an angry backlash from some Strictly Come Dancing viewers who believe he should not be in Saturday night's final.

The actor was given a pass through to the final after the BBC abandoned the phone vote last weekend.

All three couples were allowed through when it became clear that viewers voting for Tom would be unable to save him from the dance-off, due to the tie between Lisa and Rachel at the top of the leaderboard.

Originally votes from last weekend were to be carried over to the final but they now won't be counted and the BBC are offering a refund to anyone who voted.

However, many fans of the series are unhappy that Tom will feature in the final and some are calling for him to do the honorable thing and step down, reports the Daily Mirror.

A show insider told the paper: "Things have turned sour for Tom since Saturday. He and Camilla wanted to get through properly, not be given a free ride. They feel they could have won a dance-off.

"Camilla is really upset and has been crying. She doesn't want anyone to think they have cheated in any way."

Do you think Tom deserves his place in the final? Let us know what you think...

Tom deserved his place in the final, but so too did Austin Healy who was cheated out of a place. While | admit the girls were very good, especially Rachel doing the Argentine Tango, the boys were much better dancers and would have been a better final! Mo - Glasgow.

It was anyones competition right to the end. All three desrved to be in the final and could have won, and on the day the best performance won by public vote. It's been hugely entertaining both on show night and throught the week. Pity Bruce's last year has to be marred by unnecessary gurning. Can't wait 'till next years show. Hope Anton is presenting it!

BBC management yet again interfere and are responsibile for the resulting controversy. Changing the rules is both cynical and devisive. I wont bother watching this program ever again.

How could he win? He should have been out last week. I tried to vote several times but the lines were always busy, accidental? I think not.

Yes we do think that Tom and Camilla deserve to have won, their final dance was brilliant ful of entertainment, fun and skill. We felt that all along the judges were favouring Lisa. Why compare this years celebs with last years ,whats done is done and why spoil it for Tom and Camilla. Incidently we did not vote so have no axe to grind..

Isn't there a sort of 'oenalty clause' for rats like John sarjent who took the opportunity to strike when the iron was hot and walk away as he just did not have the guts to face a 'Dance off "; in his own words he considered it "humiliating"; Hats off to Kate who took much more flak but stoood tall until the last. that I thought ought to be the name of the game. And the best part is that Pompous arrogant JS even thinks he could have won Strictly!! What pomposity!!
