Viewers are up in arms after news that ITV has decided to skip straight to episode three of Pushing Daisies so that the end of the series doesn't clash with Euro 2008.
The first episode of the US drama, which stars British actress Anna Friel, debuted last weekend with 5.7 million viewers.
Now angry fans of the show are bombarding online forums with complaints after it was revealed that ITV are not showing the second episode.
There are nine episodes in the first series of the fantasy drama and ITV have only eight weeks in the schedule before the start of the football tournament.
An ITV spokesperson said: "Episode two was the only show we could drop without spoiling the storyline."
We think this decision shows a total disregard for viewers. Couldn't they have scheduled a double-bill one week or screened the final episode earlier or later in the evening to avoid a clash with the football? Why promote a series so heavily and then treat it like this?
What do you think of the decision? Did you watch the first episode and will this make you less likely to continue watching the series? Let us know what you think...

Posted by: becksfloss on Tue Apr 15 03:31PM | Report abusethis is just typical of ITV. i liked the pilot episode [ it definatly had some floors but it kept me entertained for an hour]. skipping the second episode so that they have room for euro 2008 is ridiculus especially since this country is not competing. agree with the majority of fans that we should get a double bill.
Posted by: charlie_hector on Tue Apr 15 03:31PM | Report abuseSaw trailers, thought it a good idea, stupid result, should have an age guide of 0-3. Not that desperate to be into something, and for gods sake can someone tell me 'why' Anna is supposed to be so gorgeous, was it a previous life?
Posted by: fudgekarma on Tue Apr 15 03:32PM | Report abuseIt doesn't matter what show it is, the network showing it should fully commit and see it through. By doing this they are turning their backs on some viewers who watch the show for football fans.
Posted by: gatorade1983 on Tue Apr 15 03:32PM | Report abuseSeriously, what is up with ITV?????? I have waited for this show for a while and loved the first episode. But I am sure they are correct in that is no room in the schedules with the ump@#$% repeats of Midsommer Murders, the millions of soaps they have on, and the reality shows about how a dog was rescued from a cardboard box and made the apprentice on a love island of z-list celebs. If only ITV had FOUR channels, then there would be space for it.......but oh no, they must show repeats of a million other old shows.

Posted by: sajg38 on Tue Apr 15 03:32PM | Report abusewhy fans up in arms after watching one episode?
Posted by: jackpauldelaney on Tue Apr 15 03:32PM | Report abuseThis is a ridiculous decision! Especially given that 5.7 million viewers tuned in to watch the first episode! I watched it and thought it was fantastic - an excellent refreshing new series to look forward to. I will continue to watch the series despite this decision simply because it is so different and enjoyable. However, I hope that ITV come to their senses quickly and take a pragmatic view to balance the needs of sports and drama viewers. I think the suggestion to schedule a double-bill one week is a very good one - it's only an hour out of thousands of scheduling hours for ITV to choose from!!! I'm sure no one will miss 'Animals do the funniest things' for one Saturday!!!

Posted by: mark.puredevelopment on Tue Apr 15 03:32PM | Report abuseI though it chould be a bit better, and the overvoice was really bad but i will contine to watch it hope it gets better, but missing 1 out cos of football is just stupid, put a double epp on or have it 1 on a different day so that we're not missing out
