Viewers are up in arms after news that ITV has decided to skip straight to episode three of Pushing Daisies so that the end of the series doesn't clash with Euro 2008.
The first episode of the US drama, which stars British actress Anna Friel, debuted last weekend with 5.7 million viewers.
Now angry fans of the show are bombarding online forums with complaints after it was revealed that ITV are not showing the second episode.
There are nine episodes in the first series of the fantasy drama and ITV have only eight weeks in the schedule before the start of the football tournament.
An ITV spokesperson said: "Episode two was the only show we could drop without spoiling the storyline."
We think this decision shows a total disregard for viewers. Couldn't they have scheduled a double-bill one week or screened the final episode earlier or later in the evening to avoid a clash with the football? Why promote a series so heavily and then treat it like this?
What do you think of the decision? Did you watch the first episode and will this make you less likely to continue watching the series? Let us know what you think...

And this is why ITV is getting less and less viewers, because they treat us with contempt. Well, I will now illegally download the rest of the series and they won't have me as a viewer at all.
Posted by: thedude_xyz on Tue Apr 15 03:30PM | Report abusei didnt watch the show or want too but think ITV is a disgrace to the people that were drawn into the mass advertising, told after they watched episode one that they then couldnt see two (that was to make sure people would bother watching it, god forbid they would of said it before) and to be cut because of FOOTBALL!

Posted by: juliehudson2 on Tue Apr 15 03:30PM | Report abuseI thought it was fab, really quirky and something different for a change. I am disapointed with ITV considering they have been advertising it for so long, "Episode two was the only show we could dropwithout spoiling the storyline." surely dropping any episode from a series ruins the storyline in some way. Could they not have had the football on itv two or vice versa etc, im suyre there was a better solution than dropping an episode, if only the management at ITV had a brain.

Posted by: brown_jonesuk on Tue Apr 15 03:30PM | Report abuseNot everyone in this country is football mad! ITV are taking a weak-kneed and cowardly approach to this. Dont they realise that most people who want to see the whole series could record the episode that clashes, (I am aware that not everyone is in a position to record programs - before someone points it out) or could it just be that recorded programs don't show up in the ratings!

Posted by: davencaron on Tue Apr 15 03:31PM | Report abuseITV, why not leave the US programmes to those stations that pander to this rubbish and concentrate on making some quality UK comedy/drama instead?! God knows it's time it did!
