It's one of the most talked about hands in showbiz with Facebook groups springing up declaring love for it or demanding that it's cut off - yes, it's Diana Vickers' 'claw'.
The X Factor contestant's hand movements during the live shows have split the nation with fans of the series either loving the quirkiness of the gesture or dismissing it as an irritating distraction in a show which is supposed to be about the singing.
Now Cheryl Cole has come out in support of 'the claw' after Diana revealed to Heatworld that her mentor told her to 'let the claw do what it wants to do' before last Saturday's performance.
Diana Vickers' unusual hand movements have been drawing remarks from the judges since the beginning of the series after Dannii Minogue referred to them as a 'puppet show' on the first live programme.
Much has also been made of Diana's bizarre singing style which renders most of what she sings unintelligiable - the misheard lyrics have allowed some fans to have fun with the performances such as in the clip below...
