Britney Spears has reportedly proven herself to be the biggest diva ever to appear on The X Factor after snubbing the contestants and refusing to meet Simon Cowell backstage.
The singer, who appeared on Saturday night's show, also turned down the dressing room provided and instead insisted on using Simon Cowell's private green room.
Britney's minders banned Simon Cowell from chatting to the star in her room ahead of the show and the judges were forced to grab a quick photo with her in the corridor, reports The Sun.
An X Factor insider told the paper: "You have never seen so many heavies. Even around the judges' dressing rooms were sealed off by Britney's security people. When the judges went to meet her, her security wouldn't let anyone past."
Britney also shocked the show's judges by not watching the contestants' performances. Previous guests including Take That and even famous diva Mariah Carey spent time mentoring the acts but Britney didn't even watch the show backstage.
When Dermot asked her what she thought of this year's final five she said: "Yes, awesome, thank you. I met so many people, the place is beautiful."
Britney has also been criticised by viewers after miming throughout the performance of her latest single - the judges gave her a standing ovation even though other acts who have appeared on the series have sung live.

Posted by: dan.pounds on Mon Dec 01 12:38PM | Report abusei think britney spears should be gratefull to the brithish public for giving her this oppertunity to get back into out hearts but i think what she did or didnt do on saturday we should just send her back to USA and let us get someone who is more greatfull to get a spot on X-Factor she is a spoilet brat who needs to grow up, and it was so obvious she mimed what a let down to the contestants and to the public

Her 'mime' was boring and I think the judges gave a standing ovation to humour her and massage her ego. Any of the x factor finalists would beat her in a sing off hands down.

Any artist that releases songs that they have no chance in hell of ever being able to pull of live on stage is not a real artist. She mimed the whole song. which was obvious when her mic wasnt working properly when she finished and she had to use Dermot. The @#$%ager Miley Cyrus put her to shame. And she showed absolutely no interest whatsoever in the whole show! she's a disgrace to America.

Posted by: ladywistiwi on Mon Dec 01 12:38PM | Report abusei found it very disappointing to see that britney was miming it felt like she just turned up to a show not fully knowing what it was about its also disappointing that she didnt sit with them as that would have shown us the people who buy her albums that she deserves to come back we have been with her through everything and she should return to the fans by the very least greeting people
