Britney Spears has reportedly proven herself to be the biggest diva ever to appear on The X Factor after snubbing the contestants and refusing to meet Simon Cowell backstage.
The singer, who appeared on Saturday night's show, also turned down the dressing room provided and instead insisted on using Simon Cowell's private green room.
Britney's minders banned Simon Cowell from chatting to the star in her room ahead of the show and the judges were forced to grab a quick photo with her in the corridor, reports The Sun.
An X Factor insider told the paper: "You have never seen so many heavies. Even around the judges' dressing rooms were sealed off by Britney's security people. When the judges went to meet her, her security wouldn't let anyone past."
Britney also shocked the show's judges by not watching the contestants' performances. Previous guests including Take That and even famous diva Mariah Carey spent time mentoring the acts but Britney didn't even watch the show backstage.
When Dermot asked her what she thought of this year's final five she said: "Yes, awesome, thank you. I met so many people, the place is beautiful."
Britney has also been criticised by viewers after miming throughout the performance of her latest single - the judges gave her a standing ovation even though other acts who have appeared on the series have sung live.
What did you think of Britney's performance? How do you think she would fare as a contestant in The X Factor? Let us know what you think...

Personally I agree if she said yes to the show then she should do the whole show or simply not at all, but also people should just leave her the @#$% alone we really arent that interested anyway.

It possibly smacks of her own self doubt and insecurity if she can't even talk to the judges or let anyone near her. As for the theme of Britney, shame on the producers...they shouldve done better for the male acts.

Posted by: kirstyanncollins on Mon Dec 01 12:37PM | Report abuseI think Britney is trash. Why do we have to put up with some two bit star who is bonkers anyway. She should stay in the US we have enough talent here without her coming over here to mime her act and be a diva.

Posted by: lankylawnmower on Mon Dec 01 12:37PM | Report abuseI thought the performance was very poor, miming on a show that's dedicated to finding real talent is really bad. Having all the contestants singing one of her songs when she didn't even mentor them was terrible. Some comeback!
Posted by: emma2468emma on Mon Dec 01 12:37PM | Report abuseDreadful, saw her in concert a few years back and she also mimed in that, awful, she seems to have made a career out of miming! and who does she think she is, is she too important to speak to other people???
